DFS Galleria held a charity event where all the proceeds raised from a silent auction went to Bali Bridges as well as 5% of sales from the day itself.
Bali Bridges was founded as a result of a collaboration between the Widhya Asih Foundation in Bali, Indonesia and the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA).
The Widhya Asih Foundation in Bali is an organisation which requires funding to feed, shelter and educate 700 children in 7 orphanages throughout Bali.
As a result of a cut in funding due to the other disasters, the foundation has been in serious need of funding support.
Bali Bridges was set up in 2006 with two aims: to raise funds for the Widhya Asih Foundation for critical initiatives that impact the livelihood of the children and to provide a unique and strong platform of cultural exchange and friendships between the orphans and the students and their families at UWCSEA.
The event was attended by nearly 500 supporters. A traditional dance by the orphans from Bali Bridges, a fashion show and a lucky draw kept eveyone entertained.
