The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Singapore celebrated Kuwait's 50th National Day with a reception held at the Ritz-Carlton.

This year also marks Kuwait's 20th anniversary of its liberation, and the fifth anniversary of the ascendance of His Highness the Amir.

The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Singapore, Abdulaziz Al-Adwani, and his glamorous wife Afrah Al-Adwani, had a guestlist of dignitaries from various countries.

There were also good friends at the reception such as Singapore's high society.

The food was excellent - Arabic meats, dips and desserts.

A band of merry men played music and sang in traditional Kuwaiti style.
