Olam International’s CEO Sunny Verghese has been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) 2008 Singapore at a gala ceremony held at The St Regis, where Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam was the guest of honour.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards was first launched by E&Y in the US in 1986 to celebrate entrepreneurs whose ingenuity and can-do spirit resulted in successful business ventures. In Singapore, it was launched in 2002.
