Beirut, Lebanon: French luxury designer Louis Vuitton has opened its first boutique in the Lebanese capital Beirut.
"For many years, the maison has maintained strong relations with Lebanese clientele and is proud to reiterate its engagement by offering a new store which respects the Beirutis' heritage and patrimony," said brand executive manager Yves Carcelle at the opening, which was attended by Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
Louis Vuitton, a brand of luxury goods maker LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA, is the latest name to appear in Beirut's designer-studded central district.
Lebanon also lays claim to a group of red carpet favourites, including Georges Chakra, Basil Soda, Georges Hobeika, Rabih Kayrouz and Hollywood haute coutouriste Elie Saab.
