In the first half of this year, Bottega Veneta opened four new boutiques in Asia.
China has been a popular place for the new stores with the latest opening in Shanghai and a previous one in Chengdu.
Shanghai’s International Financial Center in Pudong has a store measuring a spacious 345 square metres and carries a wide range of Bottega Veneta product including handbags, luggage, women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, small leather goods, eyewear and an assortment of items for the home.
All new stores feature Bottega Veneta’s signature store concept designed by Creative Director Tomas Maier.
Every element of the boutique interiors, from the walnut tables and handcrafted vitrines to the door handles sheathed in leather, have been custom-made.
Among the notable design features are aerodynamically shaped, vertical window louvers of palm wood and steel, finely crafted display counters with slide-out billiard-cloth presentation pads, walls covered with ultrasuede, mohair furniture upholstery and custom-dyed pure New Zealand wool carpets.
A quiet, sensuous palette of matte neutrals and earth tones further enhances the privacy, sophistication and ease of the shopping experience.
The boutique interiors are an elegant reflection of Bottega Veneta’s defining qualities: timeless design, modern functionality, outstanding craftsmanship, and the highest quality materials.
Shanghai's boutique is one of the biggest in Asia.
China already sees nine Bottega Veneta stores.
Another new shop in China is located in Chengdu.
The new boutique is in Chengdu’s Maison Mode department store and measures a total of 186 square metres.
This store carries Bottega Veneta handbags, luggage, men’s ready-to-wear, men’s shoes, small leather goods, eyewear and an assortment of gift items.
Closer the home is Singapore's Bottega Veneta new store.
Located in ION Orchard, the 279-square-metre store offers an extensive range of Bottega Veneta product including women’s ready-to-wear, handbags, luggage, jewellery, shoes, small leather goods, gifts, home accessories and eyewear.
The fourth addition is in Taiwan - a new store in Taipei's Bellavita mall.
The store measures 297 square metres in total and features a spacious selling area of more than 250 square metres.
It also offers a broad range of Bottega Veneta product including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, small leather goods, handbags, luggage, fine jewellery, eyewear, shoes, porcelain, home and furniture.
To celebrate the Bellavita opening, Bottega Veneta created an exclusive and limited edition Knot handbag.
Available in a limited edition of 50, it is exclusively sold in the Bellavita store only.
The Knot is one of Bottega Veneta’s most beloved handbags.
It is a small, rounded box clutch conceived in materials and designs ranging from the refined to the fantastical.
The Taipei Knot is created from a combination of lizard and Tejus in vivid shades of yolk, cigar and truffle.
The surface of the bag features a handcrafted patchwork comprising of 25 separate pieces of leather.
The refined geometry of the pattern is achieved by meticulously fitting each piece, its edges hidden, beneath curving strips of double-stitched, padded lizard.
Luxurious and elegant, the Taipei Knot combines a painterly sense of colour and line with superlative craftsmanship.
“The Knot is a Bottega Veneta signature,” says Creative Director Tomas Maier.
“The opening of the new store in Bellavita provides us an opportunity to celebrate the sophistication and energy of Taipei with a special Knot inspired by the city.”
Each Taipei Knot bag is numbered with the words “Taipei 2010” inscribed on a sterling plate inside the clutch.
With plenty of stores to shop in, you know you'll have no problems getting decked up in Bottega Veneta.
