The Russians sure know how to have a good time and they showed their fun side to Singapore at DAVAI!: The Russian Standard Way vodka party at New Asia Bar.
“Davai!” is Russian for “Let’s Go!” and three hundred guests certainly "went" as they were transported into a beautifully ethereal Russian wonderland for a celebration of Russian heritage, style and culture.
Bathed in frosted lighting, New Asia Bar was transformed into a veritable wintertime playground with white faux fur throws and two gorgeously crafted Russian Standard ice bars which served Russian Standard Vodka through the night.
Unconventionally chilled using ice luges, delightfully smooth Russian Standard Original was served at one bar with flash-frozen fruits while guests indulged in the premium Russian Standard Platinum shots paired with oysters and tabasco.
The elegant Miss Russia 2010, Irina Antonenko, and her fellow finalists added exquisite Russian glamour to the event as they mingled with guests and led the crowd into a night of revelry with the lively Moscow Mule toast.
This classic cocktail, traditionally made with lime and ginger ale, was given a makeover with an updated recipe which replaced the lime with lemongrass.
Beam Global Asia, the exclusive distributor of Russian Standard Vodka in Singapore, also created two original cocktails for the night - the 4Bs and the Honey Pandan Martini.
A luscious purple, the 4Bs cocktail is a perfect fusion of the soft, pure palate of Russian Standard Vodka and the sweetness of Bols Blueberry.
Within the refreshing Honey Pandan Martini, the smoothness of the Russian Standard vodka cleverly complements the characteristic dry citrusy flavours of triple sec.
The best of Russia was further celebrated as Russian dancers performed contemporary Russian dances in a variety of dazzling costumes and Russia’s No. 1 DJ, DJ Affecta, spun heart-pumping house music.
