Luxury publication The Peak has launched The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel, its third and latest brand extension, with a promise to bring more of the finer things in life to readers - this time in the realm of fine dining and gourmet travel.
Gourmet & Travel is a new biannual luxury publication, which follows the success of annual titles The Peak Selections: Timepieces and The Peak Selections: Domain.
The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel is a stylish and authoritative guide on what high-net-worth individuals need to know about the fascinating world of food, wine and travel.
Offering a global outlook with insider and expert knowledge, it offers dining and travel information, insights and recommendations.
Top CEOs in Singapore share their best-kept secrets on where to go for outstanding hawker food; captains of industry reveal their favourite vacation spots, while others divulge their management philosophies over a meal at their favourite restaurants.
Gourmet & Travel also highlights the latest dining trends, along with profiles on wine lovers who have amassed impressive wine collections over the years.
There is also a comprehensive feature on the things a potential vineyard owner should know before he takes the plunge.
Gourmet & Travel had already made its presence felt in the market by being appointed the Official High Society Gourmet & Travel Publication for World Gourmet Summit (WGS) 2010.
Its parent magazine, The Peak, was also the Official High Society Publication for this year's WGS, organised by Peter Knipp Holdings Pte Ltd.
Mr Dennis Pua, Managing Director, SPH Magazines, said: "With The Peak Selections: Gourmet & Travel, readers can expect to find the same quality read that they have enjoyed from The Peak as well as Timepieces and Domain."
The inaugural G Restaurant Awards
The debut issue of Gourmet & Travel will unveil the results of the first G Restaurant Awards.
With its listing of Singapore’s finest restaurants – in categories such as Best Business Lunch, Best Dinner Experience, Outstanding Service, Most Innovative Menu and Best Wine List – the winners were arrived at after incognito tastings and a grading system by a panel of food experts. (A pre-selection process involving Singapore’s top newspaper food journalists had earlier yielded a shortlist of already outstanding restaurants.)
The winning restaurants, several of which may come as no surprise to gourmet diners, will be presented their awards at the inaugural G Restaurant Awards ceremony to be held in May.
Said Group Editor, Ms Joanna Lee-Miller: "Singapore’s dining scene has never been livelier, or more impressive, with world-class restaurants offering superb dining experiences.
"The G Restaurant Awards, which we plan to make an annual must-read list, is our way of giving due recognition to these deserving establishments."
Readers can look forward to the first issue of Gourmet & Travel, which retails at $18 and is already available at all leading bookstores.
The next issue is slated to be out in November 2010.
