The Audi Fashion Festival (AFF) 2010 started off with a pre-opening dinner event that saw Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Education, Mr S Iswaran attend together with other VIPs and specially invited guests.

Tokio Hotel, a very popular band from Germany, were part of the guestlist.

They were in Singapore to perform at the AFF opening, made possible by the Celton Group.

Held at the Tent@Orchard, the pre-opening dinner for the AFF featured Star Creation - a fashion design competition driven by the Textile and Fashion Federation Singapore (TaFf).

The competition aims to uncover new local and Asian talents and groom them into becoming the fashion stars of tomorrow.

The competition featured 12 finalists from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and China.

Three winners were then each awarded a $10,000 cash prize by Audi and a one-year work attachment with leading fashion retailer FJ Benjamin after which they will be given the opportunity to launch their own capsule collection.

One winner was also presented the Audi Young Designer Award with a $5,000 cash prize and an all-expenses paid three-week internship at the Audi Concept Design Headquarters in Munich, Germany.

The new Audi R8 Spyder also made its debut at AFF.

The very well-dressed guests got to view and feel the sexy open-top sports car  up close after a presentation by Audi on its aspects.
