“Have you made the cut?” - this is what everyone wants to know!

Singapore’s social elite are rushing to www.thecrystalball.com.sg to see if their name has been listed to receive an invitation to the most elegant event of Singapore’s racing season, The Crystal Ball.

Located in the very heart of Singapore’s prestigious Grand Prix racing circuit, The Crystal Ball will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia on the evening of Thursday Sep 24, 2009.

The prestigious few who will attend this extravagant event will be swept into the lavish world of art deco tradition. Drawing its cues from 1930’s Vanity Fair Oscar’s Party and The Great Gatsby, the interior will feature incredible custom-made elements.

As an introduction, the pre-function areas will feature a bronze and gold painted eight metre long bar where a Vintage Moet & Chandon Champagne fountain will flow and cocktails served will be inspired by an era of decadence.

Inside, a circular revolving stage will be the central feature of the ballroom where the night’s crescendos will showcase Jayson Brunsdon’s jewel coloured gowns in a delicious culmination duet by British jazz legend Earl Okin and Australian soul songstress Nichaud Fitzgibbons.

After having stormed New York Fashion Week, leading international fashion designer, Jayson Brunsdon, has created a collection specially for The Crystal Ball. His collections focus on a structured, strong silhouette with an emphasis on cinematic femininity. He's dressed celebrities such as Naomi Watts, Linda Evangelista and Eva Longoria.

Philantrophy

Supported by 1996 Formula 1 World Champion Damon Hill, O.B.E. in aid of the Down Syndrome Association (Singapore), the Crystal Ball aims to raise $200,000 for the Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) (DSA). Donations raised will be directed to DSA's educational and enrichment programmes which benefit the Down syndrome community and their families in Singapore.

There will be exquisite items, including exclusive F1 memorabilia to be auctioned during the evening. One such item is Damon Hill's very own BMW race suit.

Of course there will be F1 drivers at this event. To find out who's going to be there, well, you're going to have to be one of the few that make the cut!

Other guests include The Crystal Ball Ambassador and Indian socialite Ramona Narang Rodella who is said to bring internationally acclaimed Indian designer, Rohit Bal, who's in Singapore to showcase his collection at another charity gala.

With only 500 tickets available, invitations will be only offered to the select few.

The Crystal Club

If you want to make this into a really exquisite experience, The Crystal Club is the way to go. It is a pamper package for both him and her.

She will be treated to a day of Spa at the Ritz-Cartlon Millenia together with a makeover with hair by Toni & Guy and make-up by MAC Cosmetics.

She will also be styled by The Crystal Ball's style director, celebrity stylist Alex Zabotto-Bentley from Australia's Project Runway in elegant accessories provided by Jayson Brunsdon.

He will play golf with Damon Hill and be formally announced and mingle with Damon, F1 and Singapore social elite at the Crystal Ball itself.
