Fast And Flavoursome at Shahi Maharani

Located near Turn 9 of the F1 circuit, Shahi Maharani at Raffles City Shopping Centre is offering diners the Semi Chaats and Tandoori lunch buffet at $25++ per person with one-for-one draft beer and house pour wines. Valid for the F1 week.

All F1 ticket holders and officials will receive a 15 per cent discount on the ala carte menu upon presentation of your passes.

Song of India F1 Grand Prix Pre-Race Brunch

Chef Milind Sovani is preparing a special brunch inspired by the various cuisines of the countries the F1 drivers hail from.

Expect to see dishes called Hamilton’s Favourite Lap (fish and chips with an Indian twist), Force India at Pole (lamb seekh kebabs stuffed with chillies and cheddar cheese), Fisichella’s G Force (naan bruschetta with zucchini and tomato topping), Ferrari Magic (chicken in coriander pesto with penne pasta) and Alonso’s Collision (saffron basmati paella) from Sept 26 to 27, with free flow of beer.

For the Grand Prix Late Night Toasts, Sovani has also planned a special menu at the restaurant’s newly launched alfresco lounge Whispering Palms with unlimited alcoholic drinks and snacks from 6.30 to 8.30pm from Sept 18 to 27. Both promotions are at $38++.

Singapore Recreation Club

The 126-year-old club at the Padang has launched 26 deluxe rooms and suites in time for the F1, each equipped with LCD television, high speed Internet connection and iPod/iPhone docking stations.

Members of the public can book the rooms during the F1 weekend and get a three-day walkabout pass for the race as well as visiting member status for the period: They can use most of the club’s facilities, food and beverage outlets and participate in the club’s social, sporting and recreation programmes.

Rates start from $1,950+ for a single room (includes breakfast and three-day walkabout passes for the F1 race).
