Panerai launches its new series of watches
by Plush|11 February 2012

Officine Panerai presented its new family of in-house movements, the P.9000 series, at an exclusive exhibition at the Asian Civilisations Museum.

Over 100 Panerai collectors and enthusiasts took the opportunity to meet over cocktails and preview these special movements, which were first showcased at the 2009 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH).

Guests marvelled at the new P.9000 calibre, which is available in three versions — P.9000, P.9001, P.9002.

Each is fitted with different functions, but they have in common an automatic winding function with a power reserve of three days and a special technical design that makes these movements immediately recognisable.

The exhibition also included special pieces from Panerai’s Manifattura Collection, a group of watches that are exclusively fitted with movements that are 100 per cent made by Panerai.

More than 400 members of the public managed to catch a glimpse of this full collection and new novelties before they are scheduled to be launched in the market in two months time.
