Steinway Lyngdorf, the designer and manufacturer of the finest high performance music systems, has added a new branch to its family tree - Home Theatre products.
The new collection comprises of Steinway & Sons Grand Speaker Systems - Model LS Series and the Steinway & Sons Architectural Speaker Systems - Model M Series, Digital Amplifier Model A1 and Surround Sound Processor Model P1.
Combined with the launch of the Model C Music System, the new collection of home theatre sound systems represents the extraordinary legacy of Steinway Lyngdorf Music Systems to the home theatre segment as they are all built with the same commitment to uncompromised performance, quality and design.
"We are responding to a new era in home theatre entertainment where we encounter discerning customers who expect the best and most harmonious sensory entertainment experiences in the intimacy of their homes.
"Not only do they demand the ultimate in sonic experiences, they consider elements such as design appeal, ease of use and quality in finishes as intregral to their holistic appreciation of the product and the experience it delivers," said Peter Lyngdorf, Founder of Steinway Lyngdorf.
He adds that his team of designers and engineers worked together for months to create a family of home theatre products that meet the exact requirements of their customers, without compromise.

The Steinway & Sons Grand Speaker Systems - Model LS Series is created for those who seek to indulge their love for movie and music by demanding the most life-like home entertainment experiences.
The Model LS Series allows for a cylindrical sound dispersion pattern from the loudspeaker. The floor-to-ceiling extension of the line source speakers provide an effective and uniform coupling to the room, dramatically reducing a major source of room influence. Conventionally, sound pressure from a line source speaker decreases more gradually in relation to a listener's position away from the speaker. This makes the Model LS Series ideal for music listening in generously proportioned rooms as well as home theatre experiences.
The Steinway & Sons Architectural Speaker Systems - Model M Series are flexible, dynamic speakers that provide a beautiful acoustical experience. They are designed for medium to large listening rooms and serves as a passive stereo or multi-channel speaker and boundary woofer system.
Both the Model LS and the Model M Series incorporates Steinway Lyngdorf's classic RoomPerfect Technology - it produces the world's first full 3-dimensional map of a room's sound field and adjusts the home theatre sound system to overcome spatial influences.
The Steinway & Sons Home Theatre Sound Systems uses an innovative digital signal path from source to speaker using the proprietary Steinway Lyngdorf Link. It is the first and only one in the world to maintain full resolution of the new high definition audio standards in the entire audio system.
The Model A1 Digital Amplifier is the driving power behind an ideal home setup. Capable of delivering an oustanding 400 watts per channel, the Model A1 offers full sound resolution and dynamic range at both the highest and lowest volumes.
The Model P1 Surround Sound Processor elevates movie enjoyment beyond imagination. It delivers a complete high-definition experience. From the source to the speaker, it is the first processor to decode the audio signal entirely in the digital domain via the Steinway Lyngdorf Link. When combined with the 8 channel RoomPerfect adaptation technology, the Model P1 Surround Sound Processor produces the purest audio ever achieved.
And how do we know all this?
Plush had the privilege to hear a sample of this family of sound systems and being blown away does not come close to describing it.
We were treated to a scene in the movie 'House of Flying Daggers' where Zhang Ziyi and Andy Lau's characters challenged each other in a combat of beats in the drum scene. The slightest movement and the tiniest of sounds were clearly picked up and we were amazed at how clear it came through. What you would not notice with an ordinary sound system was pushed out loud and clear and the whole scene in the movie, literally, came to life.
Another taster was a scene from a concert by Shakira featuring Wyclef Jean. They sang 'Hips Don't Lie' and we were astonished as to how much it sounds better than the real thing! We felt like we were at the concert itself and more so, we said it sounds better than a live concert.
So, there you have it. Perfect sound technology.
