Lots of sun, plenty of sea and yachts galore were what your Plush mistress enjoyed at Boat Asia 2009, the region's biggest luxury boating and waterfront lifestyle event.

With 65 boats on display, you can imagine that Marina at Keppel Bay transformed into a boat lovers paradise with so many toys to choose from. Have a look through Plush's gallery of the boats on offer.

The day began with opening speeches by Herman Ho (left in right pic), Managing Director of TMX Show Productions - the show producers of Boat Asia. Teo Soon Hoe (right in right pic), Senior Executive Director and Group Finance Director of Keppel Corporation Limited said he "never expected such a beautiful event".

With the ringing of a bell three times, Boat Asia was officiated by Sven Bang Ulrich, (middle in above right pic) Chairman of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore's Third Maritime and Research and Development Advisory Panel.

In the afternoon, Audi launched their Q5 SUV in a 400 square metre floating exhibition platform in the shape of an iceberg. Interesting idea, to say the least. You can read the review here and see the photos of the car here.

Your Plush mistress spent the day behind Gucci shades sipping bellinis at Prive and walking round admiring the yachts.

While waiting for the representatives to give their interviews, your Plush mistress' ears pricked up when she realised there might be some potential billionaires around.

I heard (and saw) someone from Maldives interested in the Viking 50 Convertible and a Indonesian-Chinese who spoke to Steve. We saw him aboard a speed boat and found out that he apparently owns an island off Jakarta...nice!

Your Plush mistress ended the day with a renewed love for big toys on water and pleased to have conversed with interesting personalities.
