by Roshni Lakhiani, PlushAsia|16 March 2010

White beaches, scuba diving, bungee jumping; travellers and the very adventurous can now own a watch that suits any season which still looks elegant on the wrist.

That is what Swiss watch makers, Vacheron Constantin, are offering customers by celebrating travel, bringing in two new models - Overseas Dual Time and the Overseas Chronograph revamped - to their Overseas' line of watches.

Offering smart functionality with a touch of glitz is their new watch, Overseas Dual Time. Based on their 2006 model, Dual Time, which can read a second time zone, this new timepiece offers even more - it features a date, a second time zone and a power reserve.

The functionality is exceptional as the dial is varnished in matte white with luminescent pink leaf-shaped hands which provides perfect legibility for reading the various indications.

The self-winding movements beats at 28,800 vibrations an hour and because a small day/night indicator attached to the rhodium plated Opaline sub-dial, which features a second time zone, the wearer can keep track of the time, anywhere in the world!

Providing true resistance to inaccuracy, every Overseas' model features an anti-magnetic field. Researched and developed by Vacheron Constantin, it means that no matter where the owner is, the timepiece will not be affected by any magnetic forces, which could influence the proper running of the watch.

However, the truly noteworthy aspect of the Overseas Dual Time lies in its aesthetic appeal, which is likely to please the fairer sex the most.

The watch shimmers with 88 brilliant cut-diamonds that cover the whole circumference of the dial. Set against either pink gold or white gold with a luminous vulcarbonised rubber strap, it is striking in its modernity and style.

Along with this trendy strap comes the main one, in alligator leather, also in white, which features a triple folding clasp in 18K white gold or 18K 5N pink gold.

The Overseas Chronograph, an old timepiece in the Overseas' line, is now being launched in an elegant pink gold. Vacheron Constantin bought out the same model in yellow gold in 2006 as part of its ten year anniversary celebration for its Overseas' line.

This watch has packed into it a great many features, distinguished for an avid traveller, such as an luminescent hour-markers, screw-down push pieces and water resistance to the depth of approximately 150 metres, great for someone who loves to be down under.

It is classic in presentation with an air of sportiness as it comes in a 42-mm case and features two counters: 30 minutes at 3 o'clock and 12 hours at 9 o'clock. The date is displayed in an oversized window at 12 o'clock.

Yet Vacheron is providing customers with a bit more room for vanity as customers have a choice of 3 straps.

The pink gold bracelet has an exclusive shape-A succession of half-Maltese-cross links that gives it a precious and particularly refined look.

For the ones who want to stick to a sporty look, it is also available in an elegant dark-brown hand-sewn alligator strap, which comes with a more casual vulcarbonised rubber strap also in dark brown.

The Overseas Dual Time is available in white gold at $69,400 and pink gold at $62,500.

The Overseas Chronograph is available in a pink gold strap at $77,500 or in hand-sewn alligator leather with a dark-brown vulcarbonised rubber at $57,2000.
