Ying yang, the club hotel's destination rooftop bar opened with a private launch party that saw a plush guestlist.
Ying yang is a result of a partnership with local nightlife and entertainment duo Orhan Ko and Godwin Pereira.
Ying yang will be a permanent fixture at the club hotel’s rooftop space and a key part of the new offering is a stable of resident DJs, including Brendon of Zouk fame, Ramesh from Centro and Jean-Baptiste.
Reflecting balance and contrast, ying yang exudes a relaxed, loungey vibe and as the sun sets, the music will pick up a notch and the atmosphere at the scenic rooftop will charge up to evoke a livelier pre-party vibe.
Responsible for bringing the award-winning supperclub brand to Asia, Orhan is instrumental in shaping the look, feel and vibe of ying yang, and crafting a concept that will appeal to the clued in party crowd.
Orhan, Managing Director of hospitality investment and consultancy firm Exonorm said ying yang is "an eclectic cross-over between a lounge and an up-tempo bar."
With a "phenomenal" location, the duo "aim to create an alternative experience" that guests will find refreshing.
Providing the creative and musical direction to ying yang is Godwin Pereira, often lauded as a stalwart in Singapore’s clubbing and entertainment scene, having worked on brands like Centro, MOS, supperclub and Stereolab.
Godwin’s expertise is key in bringing to life the ying yang experience.
Said Godwin: “We’ve put a lot of thought into matching the music, style and identity of ying yang and I do believe they come together perfectly to create an exciting and unique sensory experience that will have party goers coming back.”
From its own on-street entrance, a bold stairwell dressed in strong black lines and stark lighting, ying yang extends from the unique positioning of the club hotel - a chic juxtaposition of old and new.
