The Singapore Urological Association (SUA) honoured five men above 40 years, who have won the respect of their peers for successfully balancing high performance career success with good health.
At its first Bridging Performance and Health (BPH) Appreciation Night held at Equinox at Swissotel, the president of SUA, Dr Michael Wong identified the five honorees as:
C. Kunalan, age 68, Associate Professor at National Institute of Education, winner of 15 SEA Games and 5 Asian Games medals. He is also helping Singapore host the Youth Olympic Games,
Kenny Yap Kim Lee, age 45, Head of Qian Hu Corporation Ltd which holds 5% of the global ornamental fish market,
Professor Li Man Kay, age 59, internationally renowned urologist and transplant surgeon,
Mark Van Cuylenberg (The Flying Dutchman), age 54, popular DJ for Singapore ratio station Class 95FM and
David Hill, age 68, CEO of Britoil Offshore Services.
Dr Wong described the inaugural BPH nominations by SUA as one of the new initiatives that SUA is spearheading to raise higher awareness of the disease burden of prostate enlargement.
The gala dinner also marked the culmination of SUA’s 6th Prostate Awareness Public Education Programme for this year.
